Boulder - Overview
The Boulder, Colorado office of HVS was established in 1993 to serve clients in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean and has completed more than 3,000 consulting and appraisal assignments since opening. In addition to our standard hotel consulting and valuation services, the Boulder office has conducted market feasibility studies, development consulting, environmental sustainability analyses, operator selection coupled with management contract analysis and negotiations, and strategic advice. We advise in the development of new hotels, working with developers, architects and other development team members to conceptualize the optimal lodging product for a particular site. Our staff has extensive experience in providing expert analysis and testimony on a wide variety of topics including damages, property tax values, management competency, contracts and agreements, and hotel industry standards.
The Boulder office has developed expertise in impact model development, impact studies, hospitality technology solutions, and ski resort consulting. Recent work includes consulting for NYLO Hotels on project feasibility, acquisition consulting for Xanterra, advisory services for the Mall of America, and model development for Best Western. A particular area of expertise for the Boulder office is our ability to consult on multi-asset (portfolio) assignments. Since 2004, we have appraised some of the largest hotel portfolios in the world including the 680 Extended StayAmerica Hotels portfolio, 350 La Quinta Inns, 140 Tharaldson Hotels, 100 White Lodging Services Hotels, and 112 Equity Inn hotels.
